Graduate School

Through the MPS program at the University of Miami, I plan to learn about many aspects of marine mammals such as care, welfare, research, medicine, training, and conservation. I want to one day be able to have a career working with marine mammals.

Rehab work

Interning with the New York Marine Rescue Center and the Alaska SeaLife Center, I am inspired to want to pursue a career in marine mammal strandings and rehabilitation. This supports my mission of conserving marine mammals by giving them a second chance at life.

Research

Throughout my schooling, I have done a variety of different research projects. I hope to continue participating in research so that one day I can publish my findings. I think research is a key part of conservation and there is still a lot that needs to be studied.

Conservation

After learning about the many threats to marine mammals, I am determined to mitigate them by participating in educational and outreach events to inform the public. I hope I will inspire them to want to conserve marine mammals and the environment in which they inhabit.
